‘Worried’ Israeli PM Netanyahu is planning to visit India, most probably in September, ahead of repeat polls in Israel to boost his election campaign. He plans to visit India to attract more votes from the Israeli nation.
JERUSALEM: Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu is in deep trouble after he failed to form a coalition following the April elections.
The Israeli lawmakers in May voted 74-45 in favor of dissolving the Parliament and hold a repeat general elections in September after Netanyahu miserably failed to form a coalition government.
Now Netanyahu has plans to visit India, hoping that a photo with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi will help boost his election campaign and recover his lost reputation.
Benjamin Netanyahu Out Of Luck: Seeks Help From His Counterparts, Just Like He Did In The Previous Elections!
According to Israeli analysts, Netanyahu is currently out of luck and now there are little to no chance of him winning the repeat general elections that will be held on September 17. Due to this reason, Netanyahu has started to reach to his counterparts for help.
This is to be noted, that also before the April general elections, Netanyahu was out of luck, but he smartly managed to escape the difficult and gather votes. He took help from heads of world and regional powers to boost his election campaign before the April 9 polls.
Netanyahu sought help from the United States of America, Russia, Brazil, and Moscow. Heading the group was his best buddy, Donald Trump, who invited Netanyahu at the White House and both leaders signed a document recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Netanyahu was then visited by the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, on April 1. Both the leaders held discussions on the improvement of Israel-Brazil relations.
Then a week before the April Elections, Netanyahu was invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, where Putin organized a lavish Hollywood-style ceremony in Netanyahu’s honor, marking the discovery of the remains of long-missing Israeli soldier Zachary Baumel.
Benjamin Netanyahu Wants Help From His Counterparts Again…
Now, after the Israeli lawmakers have dissolved the 21st Knesset (Parliament), new Israeli elections in September are on the way, and Netanyahu is again in trouble which is now much worse than the April elections.
According to political analysts, Netanyahu has again decided to seek help from world powers. This time, the only great powers whom Netanyahu hasn’t met for help in election campaign yet, are China and India.
He has already ruled China out of his list, saying it’s a tough country with strict rules. So right now, Netanyahu is all ready to visit India, sign some attractive deals, and click a photo with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
Informed sources have told media that Netanyahu has plans to land in New Delhi, meet Narendra Modi, sign some deals, have his picture taken with Modi, and then market his visit as “very important for Israel’s economic and security interests” – so that to gain the likes of Israeli general public and get votes.
As per sources, Netanyahu will visit India a week before the repeat general elections in September. But the journalists are of the view that this time, these trips won’t help him much. Furthermore, the latest opinion polls carried by Israeli news channels have shown that Netanyahu’s ruling party will fall short by a close margin in upcoming September elections.
